This had a lot of creative and interesting recipes. This may not ideal for beginners, but would be for a veteran baker who's looking to try some fun takes on classic recipes. This is a huge, heavy, oversized cookbook! I hoped the recipes were not going to be 2-3 pages long and very intense and involved, because thats not what I was looking for. I’m looking for some new recipes or old recipes with a spin on them, for the holidays. There are many, many great pictures and if these finished recipes taste like the photos look, this book certainly is beyond a winner.
I’m at a point in my life where I most always tweak my recipes in some way and don’t follow the designated path. So I’m sure I could continue to do this with the recipes in this book. Bake from Scratch is a bi-monthly publication from Hoffman Media.
